Julian was born in Bogota, Columbia on June 20th, 1966. He came to this country at the age of 6 years old along with his mother, brother, and sister. He welcomed a new sister soon after. He always had a go-getter mindset and a welcoming personality. Julian spent his life doing great things, like becoming a skilled entrepreneur, a father, a husband, a brother, a great friend, and a very generous person with an enormous heart. His first calling and the one dearest to his heart was being a hairdresser. He picked up this skill at a very young age and went on to have his own business. Later in life, he decided to have his own construction business which he was extremely passionate about.
No matter what Julian did, he always did it with pride and determination and tried to give it his all. He knew how to make something out of nothing. He always helped those in need and offered his time and effort to anyone and everyone. Even though he was a very emotional guy, he never let anything get him down and he always remained optimistic. The thing that he was most passionate about and gave it his absolute best was being a father to his son Dominic. The bond they shared was not like anything else. His son was his whole world, and anyone who had the chance to know Julian saw that in him right away.
Julian is survived by his loving wife (Edyta) who he was married to for 12 years, their son (Dominic), his children (Andre and Steven), and his step-daughter (Patrycja), his parents (Bertha and Florencio Merced), brothers ( Mickey and Delwis) and sisters (Patricia and Edna), niece (Serena) and nephews ( Alexis, Jeremy, and Jason), and other family and friends.
We all miss him very dearly and we hope that he is with God watching over us.
The family of Julian Gaviria wishes to thank everyone who has reached out with their condolences during this difficult time and we hope to see you all on Saturday to help celebrate his life.
