Posluszny, Julia A.Julia A. Posluszny, 95, Suamico, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 2, 2017. She was born on June 20, 1921 to the late Stanley and Pauline (Trofka) Zakowski. Julia married John Posluszny in 1941. He preceded her in death Jan. 10, 2002. She lived in Suamico all her life and operated a mink ranch and a farm. Julia enjoyed her morning coffee with her best friend Clara. She has many loves: she adored her dogs, the vegetable garden and canning. She was most proud of her flower garden. Julia enjoyed cooking Sunday dinners for her family and most of all she loved her family dearly.Survivors include her daughters, Eileen (Louie) Terrien; Marilyn Posluszny; Judy (Dennis) Mayer; daughter-in-law, Connie Posluszny; seven grandchildren, Mark (Dawn) Terrien; Mike Terrien; Kristen (Mike) Sperber; Loryn Posluszny; Lisa (Tom) Read; Rebecca (Becky) Mayer; Kevin Mayer; eight great grandchildren, Dakota, Connor, Brooke, Andrew, Alex, Merrill, James, Andrew; two sisters-in-law, Eleanor and Shirley Zakowski. Further survived by other relatives and friends.Julia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; son, David; brothers and sisters.Family and friends may call at the Pfotenhauer Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Howard-Suamico location, 1145 Cardinal Lane, on Monday, March 6, 2017 from 4 until 7:00 p.m. Visitation continues on Tuesday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 3370 Deerfield West, Suamico, from 9 until 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m. at the church with Father Everard Scesney officiating.
