Judith JohnsonMANSFIELD: Judith Johnson, 69, died on October 27, 2017 in Ashland, Ohio. Judy was born on June 11, 1948. She graduated from Glenwood High School in Canton, Ohio and attended Bowling Green State University. Following graduation, Judy taught band and choir for 30 years before retiring from Simpson Middle School. She was an active member of Mansfield Baptist Temple where she enjoyed singing in the choir and worshipping with her grandchildren. Judy's hobbies were varied. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cross-stitch, painting, playing the flute, camping and spending time with her family.Judy is survived by two sons, Steven Johnson and Matthew (Rachel) Johnson; Pam (Ed) Kimble; twelve grandchildren, Kayla Swanger, Hailey Johnson, Savanea (John) Kurtz, and Grace, Matthew G., Mason, Sarah, Becca, Anna, Steven Jr., Elizabeth, and Josiah Johnson; one great-grandchild, Jayce Marker; and three sisters, Barbara (Don) Braden, Deborah (Fred) Carr, and Nancy (Larry) Peters. She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Jeanne Kaufman.The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Saturday, November 4, 2017, at Mansfield Baptist Temple, 752 Stewart Road N. The memorial service will follow at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Robert J. Kurtz officiating. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is assisting the family with arrangements.
