Juanita RogersColfaxJuanita Irene Rogers, age 92, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at 12:00 noon at the Ankeny Presbyterian Church, 317 S. E. Trilein Drive, Ankeny, Iowa. Burial will take place at Colfax Cemetery. Juanita, the daughter of Arlo and Florence (Humphries) McPeek, Juanita was born on April 23, 1925, in Fairfield, Iowa. She attended and graduated from Randall High School, Randall, Iowa. On March 26, 1955, she was united in marriage to Harold "Red" Rogers and they were together for 47 years until Red's passing. Juanita stayed at home, worked on the farm with her husband and raised her children. In the 1980's, she accepted a job with DMACC in Ankeny, Iowa. In her retirement, she loved to play canasta with friends and travel throughout the United States. Her greatest joy, however, was her family.Those left to honor her memory include a son, Doug (Rosann) Rogers of Slater; a daughter, Kelli Rogers of Ankeny; six grandchildren, Margaret (Robert) Neuendorf, Carla Rogers Paris, Rebecca Rogers Leonard, Bradley (Jill) Rogers, Austin (Leslie) Rogers, and Kate (Carson) Marlay; 12 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; son, Tim; daughter, Julie; brother, Robert and sister, Lucille.
