ST. JOE — Juanita R. Cannon, 80, died Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at her residence in St. Joe. Mrs. Cannon retired in 1999 as a claims adjuster from Key Benefits. She was a member of Coburn Corners Church of Christ. She was born on April 17, 1934, in Ashley to the late Fred and Ruth (Carpenter) Etheridge. She married Wilford Howard Cannon Sr. in Watseka, Ill., in 1959 and he preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 1985. Surviving are two sons, Fred Cannon of St. Joe and W. H. (Kelly) Cannon of Spencerville; two daughters, Ruth (Ed) Pursel of Bryan, Ohio, and Gale (Larry) McCoy of St. Joe; 13 grandchildren and stepgrandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Glenn, Kirk and Ed Etheridge. Visitation will be Saturday from 1-5 p.m. at Carnahan-Baidinger & Walter Funeral Home in Spencerville. Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Todd Steere officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery at Newville.
