Joyce A. (Holbert) HumphreysRichmond, INJoyce A. (Holbert) Humphreys was called home to the Lord on March 3, 2017 in Ft. Myers, Florida. Joyce was born on March 11, 1941 in Knoxville, Tennessee to Ada and Artie Holbert. She went to Knoxville East High School. She was named Homecoming queen and won Miss High School. She participated in the Miss Knoxville contest. She met the love of her life of 57 years, Bobby Humphreys, her senior year. She started working at Southern Bell Telephone Company and ended it working part time as a receptionist for Dr. Gerald Ackerman in Richmond Indiana. The family moved multiple times and gained lifelong friends along the way. She was dedicated to her family and friends. She made everyone smile with her giving heart, her bright clothes and her tan. You knew you were loved by her when she "squealed" when she saw you walk in the room. She never met a stranger and would give you the shirt off her back or buy you one. She is survived by her husband, Bobby Humphreys; son, Bobby (Kic) Humphreys, Jr. and wife Lisa; and grandkids Elizabeth, Catherine, Anna and Charlie; daughter, Terri Klein and husband Marc and grandkids Adyson and Niya; sister-in- law, Rebecca (Mike) Satterfield; and many nieces and nephews.
