Josephine Woods, 79, passed away Sunday January 22, 2017 in Longmont, Colorado after complications following heart valve surgery. Josephine was born on March 1, 1937 in Birmingham, England to Stanley and Daisy Woods. She came to America in 1958. In life Josie was a prolific fiber artist and painter. She was in the weaver's guild and her art was displayed in galleries wherever she lived. Josie lived all across the United States, including Seattle, Santa Fe, Vero Beach, Bayfield and Longmont. She loved to travel the world. During life she was able to travel to Madrid, Venice, the United Kingdom and India. Josie is survived by her son Warwick (Jodi) Charlton, daughter Josephine (Ben Kuster) Charlton, grandchildren Nicole and Megan Charlton and Ryan and Jemma Kuster and her loving companion Peter Rittman. She is preceded by her son Christopher Charlton. It was Josie's wish to have donations made to the Longmont Humane Society in her name, in lieu of having a memorial service.
