Tasse, Joseph G.Joseph G. Tasse, 69, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 23, 2017 in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, Mexico. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, April 17, 2017 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, where the visitation will be from 11:00 am on Monday until service time. Rev. James Logan will officiate. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield. Joe was born on August 7, 1947 in Marshfield, to Greg and Coletta (Weyer) Tasse. Joe began his career as an educator. He was a teacher, then a principal in Madison, Wisconsin and an elementary principal in Aurora, Colorado. Later he became self-employed and began his own business adventures. In retirement, Joe enjoyed sports and loved to golf. As a golfing friend said, "He was a good golfer and he had a long swing!" Joe became a world traveler. He visited many countries over the years with interesting stories to tell. He went to Italy to trace the Tasse family ancestry and returned a couple of years later. He enjoyed those visits and shared his stories. Germany was one of his next trips, wanting to further trace the Weyer ancestry. Joe's encounters over the years has created a wide circle of friends. We appreciate the memories that have been shared. Those friendships were a treasured part of his life. Joe is survived by his aunts, Rosa Bord, Dorothy Weyer, Dolores Czaikowski and Betty Tasse, and numerous cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and a sister Rita Tasse.
