JOSEPH B. PUGH On Thursday, February 14, 2019, peacefully went into eternal rest at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC due to pancreatic cancer.

Joseph was the beloved husband of the late Eppie J. Pugh. He is survived by his devoted daughters, Sharon (Washington, DC) and Brenda Gail (Lithonia, GA); loving brothers Jesse Pugh (Ashburn, VA) and George Pugh (Columbus, GA); adoring granddaughter Bria Elaine Pugh, sisters-in-law Effie J. Moore (Silver Spring, MD) and Mattie F. Johnson (Lanett, AL) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Joseph retired from the US Postal Service after 34 years of service.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, February 20 at 9:30 a.m. until time of service, at 11 a.m. at Peoples Congregational United Church of Christ, 4704 13th Street, NW. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Food Pantry of Peoples Church. Interment Maryland National Memorial Park. Arrangements by McGuire.
