HAMPSTEAD | Jonathon Lindsey King, 49, of Hampstead, NC passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at his home. Jon was born on December 17, 1965 in Saint Albans, Vermont to Berta (Balentine) King and Bruce Edward King. Jon is survived by his fiance Lisa and her daughters, Katelyn and Jacey. Also surviving is Jon's mother, Berta; brother, Bruce Jr.; sister, Sara and her fiance, Tim; brother, Mike; and brother, Andy, with his wife, Miranda. He will be missed greatly by his nieces and nephews; Ryan, Andrew, Steven, Nicholas, Kristina, Isaac, Josie, Stefan, Emily and Jacob. Jon was predeceased by his beloved father in October of 2010, and his dog, Spooner; a longtime friend and companion; in July of 2013.Jon will be dearly remembered and immeasurably missed by many for his love of life and all things fun. His gallant smile filled the room when he walked in, and whomever he was in contact with was left with the indelible mark of his personality, clearly seen. Jon brought energy and life; comedy and enjoyment, competition and love to everything he was involved with; from his passion for his business, to his deep appreciation for wildlife, hunting, and fishing. Uncle Jon was always the favorite at family gatherings. He loved family more than anything, and constantly worked to find new ways to be together with his loved ones. Jon's most recent years were made fullest through his devoted love for Lisa and her girls. Immense personal pride in his little family shined brightly for all to see. Jon regarded these relationships as the greatest accomplishment of his life.A memorial service will be held at 2pm Monday, July 20, 2015 at Andrews Mortuary Hampstead Chapel.
