John T. "Jack" Garland Jr., 63, of Conifer passed from this life on March 7, 2014, in Jefferson County. He was born on June 21, 1950, in Glendale, Calif., to John T. and Margaret A Garland. Jack was a bus driver for the Jefferson County Public Schools' transportation department, and loved driving the bus for all the schoolkids.He was the beloved husband of Donna Garland; father of Jeffrey Garland, Cheryl (Lane) Bailey, Leslie Garland and Derrick (Sahra) Dorman; son of Margaret Garland; brother of Gerry (Rowena) and Marty Garland; grandpa of Taylor, Richard, Christopher, Ryan, Michael, Chloe, Cody, Noah and Emily. He was the son-in-law of Mrs. Helen Schmoker. He was preceded in death by his father, John T. Garland, and his father-in-law, Harold Schmoker.Jack was so loving, caring and understanding. He loved unconditionally and was always there with a listening ear. He took everything slowly and calmly, was always there for everyone. He put others before himself. Jack, you will be truly missed by everyone who has had the pleasure to know you."What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch.
