John "Jack" StevensJohn "Jack" Stevens, 76, of Lafayette, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2016. He was born on May 27, 1949 in Rushville, Indiana to the late Clifford G. and Blanche E. Stevens. He graduated from Rushville High School and later received his associates degree as an x-ray technician in 1962 from Indiana University. Jack served his country in the United States AirForce Reserves in the 930th Tactical Air Lift Group. On September 25, 1964, he married Georgianna Burk in Cyntheanne Christian Church in Hamilton County; she preceded him in death on July 10, 2002. Jack worked as the Greater Lafayette Health Services Safety Coordinator for St. Elizabeth Hospital for 33 years. He retired on May 25, 2007. Jack was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Elks Lodge 1307, and the New Castle Breakfast Optimist. He enjoyed getting together with his high school classmates once a month. Surviving are his son, Timothy (Shirley) Stevens of Lafayette and his sister, Susan (Bert) Aragon of Zionsville. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Sydney Stevens and Jacob Stevens; niece, Lisa Mitchell; nephews, Bruce and Mike Mitchell; and friend, Robin Lee. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 12 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Chapel. Services will follow at 1 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Chapel. Inurnment will be in St. Boniface Cemetery.
