John Rowan Witt, 78, of Kingwood passed away on October 27, 2014. He was born on May 23, 1936 in Spring City, PA. He was raised in Ridley Park, PA., and graduated from St. James High School and Villanova University. He served in the United States Navy and was a long-time employee as an Electrical Engineer for Scott Paper. He was an avid cook, dog lover and very active in the New Foundlands Club of America and the Great Pyrenees Club of America. After retirement he and his wife Anita travel extensively throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico with their dogs. He is survived by his wife, Anita Witt, daughter and son-in-law and granddaughter; two brothers and two sisters. Preceding him in death are his parents, John and Mary Witt, four sisters and one brother. The Mass and services will be held in Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to , or ASPCA.
