John E. Riccio1927 - 2014John E. Riccio, 87, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2014, at UHS-St. Catherines. John was born on March 28, 1927, in Kenosha, the son of the late Rosario and Anastasia (Valentino) Riccio. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha. He married the love of his life, Eileen Anderson, on Oct. 25, 1952, at Holy Rosary Church in Kenosha. John was employed as Supervisor of Duplicating Processes for the City of Kenosha for 24 years. He was a skilled printer and loved his job.John had many and varied interests, but above all, he loved being with his family. Because of his love for animals (especially cats), he sat on the Board of the Kenosha Humane Society for several years. He was a long time member and one time President of the Italian American Society. After retirement, John was very active in the Senior Action Council, even receiving a plaque for Outstanding Service to Senior Citizens in our Community. He was an avid golfer and Green Bay Packers fan. Just recently, he had his first ever chess lesson from his great-grandson Emerson.Survivors include his two daughters, Jaye Anne (Riccio) Janes and Lisa Beth Riccio; son-in-law, Glenn Janes; three grandchildren, Robert Melvin, John Vincent Riccio, and Casey Janes; and one great-grandson, Emerson Janes. He is also survived by his special niece Annette (Blasi) Erickson and her husband Bill. John was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen; grandson, Edward Emerson Janes; one brother, Frank; and five sisters, Bertha, Marlene, Gladys, Betty and Angie.A visitation will be held on Monday, June 16, from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Kenosha Funeral Services, with a short service to follow, and interment at Green Ridge Cemetery.He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.Kenosha Funeral Services & Crematory8226 Sheridan Rd.Kenosha, WI 53143(262)652-1943 www.kenosha-funeral-services.com
