John Q. Adams LUBBOCK-Quincy Adams passed away Friday, Feb. 3, 2017. We will gather for fellowship and remembrance from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6, 2017, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life of 75 years on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Lake Ridge Chapel. Quincy was born on May 30, 1941, to John and Mamie Adams in Alba, Texas. On Sept. 18, 1959, Quincy married the love of his life, Sharon Kirby in Littlefield, Texas. Survivors include the love of his life, Sharon Adams; their daughters, Carla Romero and husband, Joe; Darla Hunley and husband, Sammy; Sharla Boyd and husband, Dennis; mother-in-law, Alta Mamaw Kirby; sister, Mary Lynn Buck; grandchildren, Scooter, Brandon, Doug, Randy, Vic, Shayla, Angelia, and La'cee; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry and Mamie Adams; and siblings, Albert Guy, Bubba, J.D., Kenneth, Wiley, Herman, and June Bug Adams; and Ruth Sis Stueart.
