1937 ~ 2016Plain City, Utah-John Duane Perkins age 79, passed away peacefully on Dec. 8, 2016 at McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah surrounded by his family. He was born on Apr. 12, 1937 in Salt Lake City to John S. and Thelma (Petersen) Perkins. He married Shirley Agnes Meisel on Jan. 26, 1957.He is survived by his wife Shirley, 6 children, 12 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.He is preceded in death by his parents, John (Jack) and Thelma Perkins; his sister, Winona Magee; and his grandparents.Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday Dec. 13, 2016 at 11:00am at the LDS church at 8060 S. 615 E. Friends may visit with family on Monday night from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Memorial Murray Mortuary at 5850 S. 900 E. Murray, Utah.
