1934 - 2017 Judge John P. McAdams, 82, of Stowell, passed away February 3, 2017, after living a full and principled life. He was born on August 7, 1934, to Rever Starns McAdams and John P. McAdams, Sr., in Hobby, Texas. Judge McAdams was the Justice Of The Peace for precinct 1 in Chambers County for twenty-five years. He is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Dr. LeBland McAdams of Stowell; sister, Doris Spencer and husband, Ronald, of Winnie; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gerald McAdams and Edgar McAdams; and sisters, Lois Graham and Rosie Stifflemire. A gathering of Judge McAdams' family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at Broussard's, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at Broussard's, with his interment following at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
