John Crawford a resident of Bakersfield, California who spent most of his life in Los Angeles, California passed away at the age of 79 years old on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at 1:00pm. John was born to Mable Sanders on June 07, 1940. John worked as a Truck Driver until he retired in 1993. Also in 1993, he was honored with a lifetime NAACP MEMBERSHIP.

He loved to go fishing, watch CNN, play dominoes and go to the Casino. He loved to eat Shrimp and Crab anytime day or night. Some of his favorite sayings were "see you in the future, hey homes, you know where to find me, long time no see, and Monkey see / Monkey do."

John was very hip from day one. He loved to listen to oldies and Jazz while smoking his weed and drinking his Brass Monkey, Morgan David or Beer from time to time and when it came to his daughter's Sharon and Karyn he was very famous for giving 4am phone calls for no reason at all.

John is survived by 7 children: John Sylvester Crawford , Sharon Denise Crawford , Karyn La'Trece Green (Terence Green), Vickie Anette Plummer (Raymond Plummer), Mary Dyanne Moody, Joann Boyd (Joseph Boyd), and Katherine James. He also had a daughter named Deborah Crawford who passed away at a early age. He is survived by 19 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
