Sinkler, John J.John J. Sinkler, 76, Green Bay, died peacefully at home Sunday, October 1, 2017. He was born on March 1, 1941 in Bolt, WI to Earl and Lillian (Melnarik) Sinkler.John graduated from Kewaunee High School, Class of 1959. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #801 as well as a member of Ducks Unlimited. John was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, returning in 1962. Upon his return, he married Kay Fronk in 1962. Together they had four children. John and Kay remained friends throughout the years.John worked at Schreiber Foods in cheese manufacturing. He then was employed by and retired from the Press-Gazette. In his retirement., he worked for the Village of Howard. John enjoyed hunting, camping, cookouts, gardening, bartending and meeting people, holidays, and spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. You were only a stranger once to John.He is survived by his children, Debbie (Kevin) Werner, Annette (Joe) Baeten, Barbara Platten (special friend, Steve DeGroot), John (Andrea) Sinkler; grandchildren, Brandon (Valerie) Sinkler), Melinda Sinkler, Adam Werner, Amanda Werner, Jennifer (Eric) Retel, Matt Platten, Aaron Werner, Christopher Platten, Addison Sinkler; eight great-grandchildren, Michael, Madyson, Ava, Mason, Grace, Mila, Max, Matthew; his siblings, Joann (Marcellus) Vogel, Lee (Betty) Sinkler, Dale (Karen) Sinkler, Judy (Greg) Gallenberger, Lynn (Wayne) Wians, Dawn (Chuck) Nuthals; sister-in-law, Ruth Sinkler; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends,.John was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Allen Sinkler; and sister, Patty Wisnicky.Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 4. A Parish Wake Service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
