LAGRANGE, Ga. — John Christian Hoff, 65, of LaGrange died on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014. Mr. Hoff was a tool manager with Atlas Copco. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was born on Aug. 1, 1949, in Garrett, Indiana, to Albert and Helen (Buttermore) Hoff. Surviving are his wife, Lin Hoff of LaGrange; his children, Traci and Mark Bailey of LaGrange, Greg and Kim Jordan of LaGrange, Amy and Tim Brown of West Point, Kim and David Whaley of LaGrange and Anna and Patrick Bright of LaGrange; three brothers, Jim and Jackie Hoff of Waterloo, Indiana, Karl and Pat Hoff of Waterloo, Indiana, and Steve Hoff of Auburn, Indiana; a sister, Meg and Ron Sawchuk of Angola, Indiana; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Myra Hoff; and a sister, Diane Hartman. Funeral services were held August 26 at the Western Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Brown and Rev. Alan Folsom officiating. Interment followed at the Shadowlawn Cemetery. Memorials are to the Mission Fund at Western Heights Baptist Church, 2382 West Point Road, LaGrange, GA 30240. Higgins LaGrange Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
