GRAYJohn Allen John A. Gray, 77, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2016. He was born on January 14, 1939, in Toledo, Ohio to Cornell and Eloise (Bailey) Gray. John graduated from Macomber High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1958-1964. He spent two 6 month tours aboard the USS Stickell Destroyer in the Mediterranean Sea.John worked as an electrician for GE, and retired from Champion Spark Plug. He loved to fish, dance, bowl and swim. He enjoyed spending time on his sailboat with good friends. John was an animal lover, especially his dog KC.Surviving is his sister, Suzanne (Richard) Murphy and brother-in-law, Robert Zeh; nieces and nephews, Bryan, Patrick (Brigid Reardon), Brandon (Tricia) Murphy, Teresa (Ray) Roller and Robert Zeh Jr. Many close friends also survive. He will be dearly missed by all those who loved his good heart and generous spirit.Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd. on Monday, December 12 from 4-8 p.m. The funeral ceremony will be on Tuesday, December 13 at 10 a.m. at Coyle, followed by burial in Roth Cemetery.Memorial donations can be given to the Toledo Humane Society.
