Joan Putnam NegusNovember 14, 1932 - July 26, 2013Joan Putnam Negus passed away at her Pocatello home on Friday, July 26th, 2013. She was born on November 14th, 1932 to Ruth and Euvern Putnam in their home in Auburn, WY. She is survived by five of her eleven siblings, Erlon, Gloria, Sylvia, Rosalyn, and Ruth. She is also survived by her five sons Rick, Bill, Neil, Jeff, and Jason. She is preceded in death by her parents and six siblings: Nord, Gerald, Nora, Euvern, Elaine, and Corrine, and by her husband John Negus. She has 20 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Joan was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved Relief Society and singing in the choir with her wonderful soprano voice. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, knitting, crocheting, and doing puzzles. She was an L.P.N. for 30 years, having received her certification at the age of 50. She held various jobs before that, including cooking professionally. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Pocatello L.D.S. 41st Ward, 1700 Kinghorn Road. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7-9 p.m. in the Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 North 15th Ave and at the Church from 10-10;45 a.m. Wednesday morning. Interment will be in the Auburn cemetery, Auburn, Wyoming at 3pm that afternoon next to her beloved mother and father.
