LAGRANGE — Joan Keenan, 90, of LaGrange, Ind., died Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at Miller's Merry Manor in LaGrange. Mrs. Keenan was born on February 20, 1924, in LaGrange County to Roy and Blanche (Clark) Gage. Joan was a lifetime LaGrange County resident. She was a member of Delta Theta Tau and a former member of the LaGrange Presbyterian Church. She had worked as a secretary at LaGrange Tire and Supply, LaGrange County Welfare Department, LaGrange County Auditor's Office and as a secretary at Skyline Industries. On January 26, 1945 in Amarillo, Texas, she married John G. Keenan. He preceded her in death on April 28, 2004. Surviving are a daughter, Sue Keenan of LaGrange, Ind.; a son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Susan Keenan of West Lafayette, Ind.; three grandchildren, John E. Keenan of Lafayette, Ind., Dr. Jennifer Keenan of West Lafayette, Ind., and Heather Keenan of Anaheim, Calif.; and a brother, Dean Gage of Fairfax, Va. Also preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, Donald Gage. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 W. Michigan St., LaGrange, Ind., with the Rev. Kenneth Weaver officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in LaGrange, Ind. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 28, 2014, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
