Rynders, Joan E.Joan E. Rynders, age 77 of Grand Rapids, WI died Monday, January 23, 2017 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids after a courageous battle with lung cancer and pneumonia.Per Joan's wishes there will be no visitation held. Private Graveside Services will be held at Good Hope Cemetery in Greenfield, WI at a later date.Joan was born on March 2, 1939 in Milwaukee, WI to the late Gilbert and Ruth Runge. Joan is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years Roland Rynders. She was a homemaker and worked part time at numerous jobs. Joan enjoyed building homes, antique shopping, gardening with her husband Roland, loved painting pictures, doing embroidery and loved animals. She was a firefighter and chief's aide for the Town of Rome Fire Department, retiring after 10 years.Joan is survived by her husband Roland, son Rick (Cidney) Rynders of Arkdale, WI, grandson Dirk Rynders of Little Rock, AR, sisters in law Arlene Bayer, Gerri (John) Morse and brother in law Dennis (Mel) Rynders.She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Ronnie, father and mother in law Gregory and Adeline Rynders.
