Fager, Joan A.Joan Fager, age 78 of Kewaunee died on Friday, July 7, 2017 as a result of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). She was born on May 20, 1939 in Mayville, North Dakota to the late Edwin and Garda (Severson) Johnson.She married Wes Fager June 22, 1958 in Mayville ND.She and Wes moved to the Minneapolis, MN area in 1962 where Wes was a librarian until l992. Then they moved to Wisconsin and then in 1993 moved to Kewaunee where Wes was librarian at Kewaunee High School. Joan was an avid and very fast reader, reading thousands of books over her lifetime. She was an accomplished pianist. She was very talented doing cruel embroidery creating many lifelike scenes of wildlife and flowers. Her other hobbies were collecting bells and wedding dolls. She was extremely supportive of Wes in his many endeavorsJoan is survived by Wes, her husband of 59 years. She was preceded in death by one sister.Friends may call after 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 15 at Buchanan Funeral Home, Kewaunee.
