Jimmy Lamar Peters February 22, 1939 - November 26, 2016 Phenix City, AL- Jimmy Lamar Peters, 77, of Ladonia in Phenix City, AL., died November 26, 2016 in the comfortable and caring surrounding of Columbus Hospice. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 2:00 pm, Eastern Time at Striffler-Hamby 3770 HWY. 431 North Phenix City, Alabama, with Reverend Ricky Lipp officiating, who also performed their wedding on December 22, 1989. Visitation will be Friday, December 2, 2016, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, (EST) at the funeral home. Jimmy is survived by his loving and caretaking wife of 27 years, Willie Mae "Dee" Peters, and his helpful and caring sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Bill McNeil of Phenix City, two surviving brothers, Jr. and Randolf Peters, and two sisters, JoAnn and Irene. Jimmy Peters, son of Earlie and Vassie Peters was born on February 22, 1939 in Slocomb, AL. Jimmy is also survived by one daughter, Kimberly Hendricks of Phenix City, one son, Jimmy Duan Peters of Canton, GA and one deceased daughter, Tracy Joy Peters, one step-daughter, Rhonda Lynn of South Carolina. Also surviving are one step-daughter, Debra Jean Simmons and her husband Ron, and a step-son, Billy Jay Hall and two deceased step-daughters, Donna Golden and Rhonda Stringfellow.
