JIM GULLEY HOBART, IN Jim Gulley, age 69, of Hobart, passed away at home on Friday, November 04, 2016. Jim was born on June 9, 1947 to the late William and Dorothy (nee Coffey) Gulley. He proudly served his country in the United States Army in Vietnam. He was a decorated Vietnam veteran, where he received a Silver Star, Purple Heart, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. He was a retired Ironworker with Local 395. Jim was an avid golfer with the Forrester's League for over 40 years. In his free time he also enjoyed camping. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Jim will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Jim is survived by his wife, of 49 and a half years, Linda (nee Lafferty) Gulley; sons: Rob (Stacie) Gulley, Brian (Mandy) Gulley; the loves of his life, his grandchildren: Dani, Matthew, Reese, and Ryan; brother, Bill (Debby) Gulley; sisters, Marce Frost, Linda (Jessie) Suarez; brother in law, Dale Heath; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, JoEllen Heath; nephew, Danny Hobson; brother in law, Jim Frost; and his parents. A funeral service, with Rev. Roy T. Beeching officiating, for Jim will take place on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W Old Ridge Road, Hobart, IN 46342. A burial, with military honors, will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Valparaiso. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 7, 2016 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
