Jesusita "Jessie" Losoya ZamarippaSan AngeloJesusita "Jessie" Losoya Zamarippa was born on Oct. 30, 1916, and went to her final resting place on Dec. 17, 2016 at 2 a.m., at the age of 100. She is preceded in death by her parents Pedro and Isabel Losoya, three brothers Paul, Louis, Henry Losoya, one sister Eutemia Enriques, her husband Ralph M. Zamarippa Sr., her daughter Rosalie Zamarippa, and son Rudolph "Rudy" Zamarippa. She is survived by her brother Raymond Losoya of Waco, sister Orosia Mijares of San Angelo, son Ralph Zamarippa Jr. of San Angelo, son Roy Zamarippa and wife Janene of Colorado, daughter Rachel Elkins and husband Art of San Angelo, Raymond Zamarippa and wife Ginger of Grand Prairie, Rita Tambunga and husband Willie of Grand Prairie, Ronny Zamarippa and wife Gilda of San Angelo. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Jesse had eight children, seventeen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. Jesse and her husband Ralph owned and operated Star dry cleaning for many years. Jesse was a very skilled seamstress. As a seamstress she made wedding gowns for her daughters and several others. She loved to cook and to take care of her grandchildren. She was a devout Catholic and attended both Sacred Heart and St. Joseph Catholic churches. Jesse was a very loving and caring Daughter, Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. Jesse always had a warm smile and caring heart for everyone she knew. Services will be: Rosary officiated by Steve Zimmerman Wednesday 7 p.m. at Johnsons Funeral home, Mass Thursday 10 a.m. at The Cathedral Church of the Sacred Heart with the Very Reverend Steven Hicks presiding. Westin and Colin Zamarippa will serve as alter servers. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Roman, Roy, Justin and Ralph Zamarippa, Jody Elkins, Ryan Tambunga. Honorary pallbearers are Ray Elkins, Robert, Ruben Zamarippa, Art Elkins Jr. The Zamarippa family would like to give a special thank you to, Dr. Chinn for his special care of Jesse.
