Head , Jesse F. was 84 years old when he passed away on Dec 7, 2016. He lived in Peoria, AZ and retired from the Air Force at Luke AFB in 1972. Jesse was born on May 18, 1932 to John and Era Head in Enterprise, Alabama. He grew up on a family farm with 3 brothers and 4 sisters. He joined the Air Force at the age of 17, where he proudly served for 20 years and then worked for Civil Service another 20 years. After he retired he took up traveling and camping with friends and family. He met his wife, Shirley in 1957 and they were happily married for 47 years. They had 4 children who blessed them with 6 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Jesse is survived by his daughter Sherree Birtciel, sons Jesse Head Jr and wife Lori and John Head and wife Joanie. He also leaves behind his sister Wanita Reynolds, his brother Murry Head and his beautiful grandchildren, Sabrina and Michael Gould, Steven and Miriah Birtciel, Scott and Shelby Birtciel, Jeremy and Holly Head, Christi Head and Yvonne Mewhinney and along with all of their 14 children. Jesse is preceded in death by his loving wife Shirley Head, daughter Debra Head, son in law Steve Birtciel, brothers, Jerry Head and Grover Head, sisters, Maralene Hudson, Margaret Stokes and Johnnie Senn. Jesse will forever be missed and in our hearts. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 6:30-8:30pm and Funeral service Friday, December 16, 2016 at 10:30am both held at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary 7924 N. 59th Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301.
