Jerry Lee LucasJerry Lee Lucas, 70, of West Lafayette, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 10:52 a.m. at his residence.  Jerry was born on March 25, 1946 in Buck Creek to the late Donald J. and Cynthia E. (Killian) Lucas.  He married Linda (Long) Lucas on September 9, 1966, and they later divorce after 38 years of marriage.  He retired from truck driving in 1989, enjoyed fishing, collecting antiques, helping others in the neighborhood. Surviving are 3 children, Donald (Amy) Lucas of Lafayette, Mike Lucas of Lafayette, and Candy Ubelhor of Lafayette, and his companion, Michelle White, and their daughter, Cheyanne White.  Also surviving are 3 siblings, John Lucas, Bill Lucas, and Martha Rainbolt, 6 grandchildren, Anthony Lucas, Ashley Lucas, Nathan Milburg, Jessllyn Lucas, DJ Lucas, and Wyatt Lucas and 4 great grandchildren, Maddison, Hayden, Emma, and Cortlyn.   He is preceded in death by one brother, Hershel Lucas.Celebration of Life by family and friends will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior at Simplicity Funeral Care.  Simplicity Funeral Care entrusted with care.  Share memories and condolences at www.simplicity-funeralcare.com.
