Jerome Lee Lackey Jerome Lee Lackey, age 76, was born on May 4, 1937 in Metropolis, IL, to the late Andrew Crim and Bessie Strong. Jerome attended High School in Metropolis, IL. Jerome died on May 15, 2013 at Kindred Care Nursing Home. Jerome, lovingly called "Jerry" or "Grandad" by many, was a Navy Seaman for the United States of America. He was united in holy matrimony to Virginia Carson in 1970, out of this union came one son, Jeremy D. Lackey of Racine, WI. Jerry is survived by many other loving relatives and friends. A celebration of his life will be held at All Nations Pentecostal Prayerhouse, 1502 W. 6th Street on Thursday, May 23, 2013. Funeral will begin at 11am. Visitation will be held at the church from 10am until the time of service. Pastor Roger Carson will be officiating. Burial will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, WI on Tuesday, May 28th.
