Herrick, Jerome "Jerry" G. Jerome "Jerry" G. Herrick, Age 83, of Phoenix, formerly of Cleveland; passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 in Scottsdale, Arizona. He was born on May 26, 1933 to the late Gordon and Helen (Martin) Herrick in Ravenna, OH. Jerry attended Ravenna High School graduating in the class of 1951. He furthered his education at Deaconess Hospital in Cleveland, OH graduating as a Registered X-Ray Technician. Jerry entered the 8th Army 256th General Hospital and was assigned to a front line MASH during the Korean War. After his return from Korea he worked for the V.A. Hospital in Cleveland, and Phoenix for 33 years as Director of Radiology. He retired from the Army in 1992 after 38 years of active duty and reserve service as a Master Sergeant. On October 5, 1957 he married Lois Habart in Cleveland, OH. To this union were born 2 children. Jerry and Lois lived in Cleveland, OH before moving to Phoenix in 1976. He was a member of Korean War Veterans Association - General Brad Smith Chapter in Scottsdale. He enjoyed long walks, vacations, cruises, socializing with people, and spending time with his family. Jerry was a wonderful man who was loved by all and will be missed by everyone. Jerome is survived by his loving spouse of 60 years, Lois; two children, Susie Hall and Jim Herrick; 4 grandchildren, Sara, Serena, Christopher, and Shannon Hall; and many other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Charles and Albert Herrick. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 11001 N. 40th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85028 with military honors to follow at 12:30 pm at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N.
