Jeffrey "George" Blanton Jr.October 25, 1978 - November 17, 2013Soda Springs: Jeffrey Dennis "George" Blanton Jr., 35, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2013.He was born on October 25, 1978 in DeKalb, Illinois the son of Jeffrey Dennis and Cynthia Carroll Blanton.He married Amanda Manning and they were later divorced.He married Alyson Banks Blanton on October 2, 2010 in Soda Springs, Idaho.Jeffrey lived in Texas until 2006 when he moved to Idaho. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and loved to read the Bible and telling stories showing examples of how then and now are alike.He loved the mountains and anything to do with them, camping, hunting, hiking and fishing. Being around friends and family and helping those close to him.He is survived by three sons and two daughters, Ty Manning, Jarred Blanton, Nathan Blanton, Sayde Blanton all of Texas, and Zonae Glenn of Soda Springs, ID. He is also survived by his parents, Bo Dean, Jeffrey Blanton Sr., Cynthia Dean. He was preceded in death by his three-legged companion "Scorpio".Services will be held on Friday, November 22, 2013 at Noon at the Bailey Creek LDS Chapel (361 South 3rd East) in Soda Springs.
