Jeffery P. VanScoyNovember 12, 1940 - May 24, 2015Jeffery Perrin VanScoy, 74 of Ontario, Oregon, died Sunday, May 24, 2015 at home of natural causes surrounded by his loving family.Jeffery was born on November 12, 1940 to Hubert Louis and Eva Armanda White VanScoy in Ventura, California. He graduated from high school and went directly into the US Navy where he honorably served four years.On April 1, 1961, Jeffery married Doris Blankenship and together they had three children, Dawn, Darlene and Daniel VanScoy. He work for National Life Insurance Company for about thirteen years and then moved to Farmers Insurance Company where he was an agent for many years. He was a great people person and made may friends in the Hermosa Beach and Torrance California.Jeffery was very fun and loving, with an incredible sense of humor. He enjoyed collecting things, bowling, the outdoors and fishing, and was an active member of the Rotary Club for many years in California. But most of all, Jeffery loved spending time with his family. He was a wonderful friend, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed and never forgotten.Jeffery is survived by his two daughters, Dawn (Skip) Rathbun of Ontario and Darlene VanScoy of Caldwell, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Daniel, and grandson Mitchell.The family wishes to thank all of the wonderful nurses who took care of Jeffery.
