Bennett, Jean P.Jean Priscilla Bennett, 85, passed away quietly on Sunday, October 2nd at Glenn Hill nursing Home in Danbury. Jean was born on July 13, 1931 in Brattleboro, VT to the late John and Florence Rugg. She was one of seven, and was adopted at the age of three. She never saw her siblings again. She was adopted by the late Marie Broadbridge of Brooklyn, NY. In 1934 she moved to Brewster, NY and later to Danbury.She worked as a Danbury Hatter before marrying Chester F. Bennett on July 20, 1953 after his return from Alaska in 1952 and serving in the Army Air Corp. Jean started raising her family in 1955. Jean is survived by her son, Douglas Bennett, his girlfriend Angela Stern and her daughter Karen of Mt. Kisco, NY.; daughter, Robin Lee Bennett of Danbury; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Heidi Bennett and their children Christopher, Zachery Peterson, Bailey and Emily Lott of Bethel, and son, Brian Bennett of Danbury, his girlfriend Amanda Williams and her son Gavin of Port Richey, FL. Gavin was super close to his Nanny and Poppy! Jean is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Gloria Stock, nephews Bradley and Alan Stock of Bethel; and their dear friends Dickie and his late wife Kitty Reynolds and their children Richard, Michael, and Jennifer of Bethel.
