Jaredene GastineauJaredene "Jerry" Gastineau, 86, passed away on January 9, 2017 at her daughter's home with family by her side. She was born on October 5, 1930 to Georgia E. Green and Jared K. Woodfill in Republic, MO. On October 16, 1948 Jaredene and Jesse Donald Gastineau were united in marriage in Springfield, MO and to this union three children were born. They enjoyed almost 48 years of marriage until his passing in June of 1996. She loved to mow her yard and work outside on her flowers and garden. Jerry also enjoyed Fishing at the lake, Bowling and playing Soft Ball. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren, especially her great-grand daughter.Jaredene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter Teresa, one brother Jack Woodfill and one sister Kathrine Verfurth. She is survived by her two children, son Donald Gastineau of Fair Play, MO, and daughter Judy Battles (husband Stevan) of Springfield, MO, one sister Mary Jean Faucett of Fair Grove, MO, two grandchildren Jessica Spickard (husband D.A.) of Ozark, MO and Jason Moore of Sparta, MO, one great-grand daughter Ashtyn Jaredene Spickard and a special nephew, Terry Shadwell of Springfield, MO.Visitation will be held Thursday, January 12, 2017, from 5-7pm at the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W. State Hwy EE, Springfield, MO. A grave-side service will be officiated by Pastor Josh Hall at the Clear Creek Cemetery on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 10am.Memorial Donations in her name may be made to the , 225 N.
