Janet Renee Austell, 61, of Sacramento, CA passed away surrounded by loved ones on January 6th, 2021 after a 5 year battle with breast cancer.

Jabet was born on May 29th, 1960 to Mimi and Michael Austell in Sacramento CA. After graduating from Susan Miller Dorsey High in 1972, she went on to study business management at the Los Angeles City College.

After graduation, Jamet landed her first job as an Operations Associate and worked her way up the ladder for 5 years until she met the love of her life.

In 1994, Jenna met Michael Austell at a business convention in Sacramento CA. They immediately hit it off and married only 2 years later in 1996. The two had their first child, Michael in 1972. Their second child, Dana was born in 1976. Their third child Alyssa was born in 1982.

When Janet had Dana, she decided to dedicate her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother. Janet excelled at supporting Dana in dance and sports Michael in football, and inspiring Aalyssa to pursue a career in business. Janet supported her family through the many passions and difficulties of their lives. Whether that was supporting Michael in his career change or helping Michael get through his difficult AP classes, she made it her mission to improve the lives of others.

Jmanet was passionate about gardening and when she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found taking care of her homegrown vegetables and herbs. We will miss her greatly.

Janet was predeceased by her father and her mother. She is survived by her husband Michael and her three children Michael Jr, Dana, and Aalyssa. She is survived by her 8 grandchildren as well.
