Janet M. RubyZANESVILLE: Janet M. Ruby, 79, of Zanesville, died at 5:38 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House. She was born on December 22, 1932 in Zanesville the daughter of the late Florian "Bill" and Effie (Kildow) Jones. She was employed at Super X, Gray Drug, and Rite Aid for 47 years. She was a member of U.F.C.W. Local #1059 where she was the union stewardess. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, loved her dogs, enjoyed reading, and working in her flower beds.She is survived by five children, Karen Daw, Florian Mautz, Janet (Rick) Beverlin, Steve (Cathy) Jones, and Teri (Tom) Sharrer all of the Zanesville area; one step-daughter, Cheryl (Bill) Pransky of Duncan Falls; 12 grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren; three step-greatgrandchildren; one greatgrandchild on the way; sister-in-law, Jackie Jones; special friendsn Joyce Potts and Becky Palmer; and special dog, Bear.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George Herbert Ruby, who died on April 2, 2002 after 43 years of marriage; two sisters, Francis Treadway and Gladys Spears; and one brother, Larry Jones.Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tue.
