Janet H. CrullMar. 13, 1933 - Nov. 10, 2016GRANGER - Janet Hunt Crull, 83, of Granger, IN died on Thursday, November 10, 2016 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. Mrs. Crull was born on March 13, 1933 in Providence, Rhode Island to the late Louise C. (Canning) and Charles F. Hunt. She lived briefly in Holland and Kalamazoo, MI before moving to South Bend, IN in 1956. On October 1, 1955 in Providence, RI as Janet Hunt, she married Merrill C. Crull who survives. Also surviving are her daughter, Martha Missy Crull-Gordon, her son, Andrew H. Crull (Lia Strattman); grandchildren, Laura H. Welker (Byron), Madeleine S. Crull, Schuyler C. Crull and Richard K. Gordon; great-grandchildren, Genesis N. Robinson, Wyatt H. and Addy Welker; and nephews, Richard H. Robb (Rebecca Crown) of Winnetka, IL and Curtis P. Robb (Kathy Bouton) of New York, NY.Janet graduated from Classical High School and received her B.A. in Political Science from Brown University in 1954. After graduating, Janet taught second grade for one year in Providence, RI. She was a graduate of the first paralegal program offered at I.U.S.B., graduating first in her class. Upon graduation, she worked part-time for Barnes & Thornburg Attorneys. She served on the Junior League Board and was a member since 1967. She was also an active member of the Christ Child Society. She served on two corporate boards of directors as an officer. She was a member of the South Bend Country Club for many years, and was an active member with her husband of the South Bend Bridge Club. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and she will be missed dearly.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, November 17, 2016 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 52553 Fir Road, Granger, IN with Monsignor William Schooler and Rev. Henri Byekwaso concelebrating. Committal services and burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka, IN. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m., Wednesday, November 16, 2016 in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road, where a Rosary will be prayed at 3:00 p.m. Memorial contributions in Janet's name may be made to the Christ Child Society.
