Janet Geneal Hunt63, of Indianapolis, passed away on October 3, 2016.  Janet was born on April 2, 1953 to the late Harry and Phyllis Hutton. She worked as a claims specialist for IU Health. She was a wonderful person who enjoyed spending time with her family, playing with her grandchildren, scrapbooking, attending Butler Basketball games, reading, watching movies, shopping with her husband and preparing for the holidays. She was a very loving mother who supported her children in every conceivable way.Janet fought a courageous battle against brain cancer for the past twenty-two months. The tenacity and strength that she displayed was admired by all of those who came in contact with her. She will be missed by so many and cherished for the memories and love she shared.She leaves behind her two children, Michelle (Jay) Jones and Richard (Brandy) Hunt, and her three grandchildren, Amanda Jones, Brady Hunt, and Abby Hunt. She is also survived by her siblings; Harry Hutton, Susan (Mark) Conder, and Donna (Vince) Archey and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 44 years, Richard Lee Hunt.The family will be holding a private ceremony, but thoughts and prayers are encouraged, and donations in her honor should be sent to the American Brain Tumor Association ( http://www.abta.org).Funeral arrangements entrusted to Flanner and Buchanan-Zionsville.
