Villeneuve, JaneJane M. Villeneuve, age 80 of Whitefish Bay, WI passed away on Friday, January 6, 2017 in Wisconsin Rapids.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nekoosa. Father Menzel will officiate. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:00 A.M until the time of services at the church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.Jane was born on October 7, 1936 in Wisconsin Rapids to Lawrence and Helen (Sabota) Villeneuve. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1954. She received her Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Marquette University in 1960. She then went on to receive a Master's degree from UW Milwaukee in special education.Jane enjoyed calligraphy and art. She made several trips to Europe to visit art museums. She enjoyed the Milwaukee ballet and Marquette basketball.Jane was also an avid Green Bay Packer fan. Jane started a family tradition of attending Summerfest with her brother and his family for many years. She also did volunteer work at Summerfest. Her favorite food was pasties and her favorite TV show was Dancing with the Stars.In her retirement she showed her love for children and teachers by tutoring children at Holy Family Parish School.Jane is survived by her brother Larry (Kathy) Villeneuve, Town of Rome; her niece: Renee (Shane) Kapellusch of Tomahawk and their children: Samantha, Katrina, and Kaiden Kapellusch; her nephew: Daniel (Liz) Villeneuve of Duluth and their son: Theo Villeneuve; her aunt: Elizabeth Villeneuve of Wisconsin Rapids; special friend: Rita Bennett; housemate Janet Doellman.She was preceded in death by her parents, special friend Jessie White and her special cats Abby and GabbyIn lieu of flowers memorials may be designated to St. Ben's Clinic at 1015 N 9th St. Milwaukee, WI 53233. Holy Family at 4825 N. Wildwood Ave. Whitefish Bay, WI 53217. Also the or the local humane society.Herman-Taylor Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
