DOVER JANE M. RUFF, 83, formerly of Delta, died on Sunday, November 9, 2014 atYork Hospital. Married on January 5, 1951, she and her husband, Chester R. "Checker" Ruff, Jr. had shared 63 years of marriage. A daughter of the late James N. and Josephine (Handley) Mackison, Mrs. Ruff was born on September 18, 1931 in the Peach Bottom Township area of York County. She and her husband had moved from Delta to Dover in 1995. A homemaker, she was a 1948 graduate of the former Delta High School and was a former member of Slateville Presbyterian Church, also in Delta. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Pamela Jane Ruff of Charlestown, S.C. She was preceded in death by her brothers, James N. Mackison, Jr. and John H. Mackison.
