Jamis Smith (J-Lee) was born on August 5, 1951, in Senegal, Dakar Africa parentage of the late Jamis Smith Sr. and Bolade Okafor. He departed life and entered into heavenly rest on September 23, 2017.

He joined the army at an early age. He accepted Christ at an early age and joined The Christian Fellowship Baptist Church. He worked for The Board of Education for over 15 years.

He leaves to cherish his memory six kids, James, Omar, Shakelia, Whitney, Anthony, and Helen; two sisters, Gloria and Helen; one brother, Henry; 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.Family can be contacted at 267-928-1137.
