MORRIS, JAMES WILLIE JR, age 85, of The Villages, Florida and formerly of Denver, North Carolina, passed away on November 23rd, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Affectionately known as "Pops" by his 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, he will forever be missed and never forgotten. James is survived by his devoted wife Jessie, his three sons James III of Miami, Florida, Jerry of Hartwell, Georgia and Jeff of Powell, Tennessee, and by his brother Danny of Lexington, North Carolina. Jim was born on June 18, 1931 in Lexington, North Carolina. He enjoyed playing cards and golf with his friends at The Villages for 14 years. He was a proud fan of Miami Hurricanes Baseball, where his son Jim is the Head Coach. A memorial service and celebration of Jim's life is to be held at The Villages. Details of the service will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks for donations to be made to Cornerstone Hospice in The Villages. Goodnight Pops.
