Schnur, JamesJames Schnur, 64, of Sheboygan, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, October 27, 2016. Shortly after 7 pm that evening, Jim suffered a heart-attack. He was born on March 1, 1952 to Arthur and Helen (Bithos) Schnur. He attended Sheboygan South High School. He met the love of his life, Catherine Eileen Boreman on July 18, 1969. The two united in marriage on October 7, 1972. From 1973 to 1979, Jim and Cathy brought five children into the world. They raised them in the Chicago Area, while Jim worked as a Union Carpenter. Jim also invested in Chicago area rental property. In 1988, Jim put his properties up for sale, packed up his family, and moved back to his roots in Sheboygan. There, he began his dream of building custom homes with his Wife and children. He went on to build numerous homes with exceptional attention to detail. His prime goal, of course, was to teach his children the importance of perfection. "Do it over!" was a phrase his children learned to never have to hear again. He not only took pride in his craft, but found it equally important to pass on his knowledge of financing and tax laws to his children. "Being legit is hard work!" he'd tell them time and again. At the age of 43, while he and his wife were developing a residential subdivision, Jim came to understand the importance of rest and relaxation following a heart attack and a six bypass heart surgery. In fact, he was known to start counting down the days until his next annual trip to The Sunshine State. He loved his time-shares. Some might say, he loved the time-share wheeling-and-dealing more than the sunbathing itself. Anybody who knew Jim, knew he loved a bargain.Jim was preceded in death by his Mother Helen and his Father Arthur. Also by his Father-in-law Walter L. Boreman, Mother-in-law Mary B. (McArdle) Boreman, Brother-in-law Walter L. Boreman, Sister-in-law Sharon A.
