Myler, James P. 90, died peacefully on November 4, 2016 in Phoenix, Arizona. James was born on May 31, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY. As he grew up in a large family he was known as "Brother"; he was devoted to his family and friends. James proudly served in the
U.S. Navy as a Seabees during
WWII; later serving as a Police Detective in the New York City Police Department. "Brother" moved to Arizona in 1972; he enjoyed golfing, fishing, and working in his woodshop. "Brother" leaves behind countless memories for all of us to share. He is now in heaven with his loving wife Nancy; mother, Margaret Myler; brother Frank "Sonny". He will be greatly missed by his sisters, Margaret and Kathleen; brother, Jerry, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m., with a Rosary at 9:30 a.m. Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, 9925 West Thomas Rd., Avondale, AZ 85392. Interment will be immediately following the service. A reception in his honor will be held back at the Funeral Home for all to attend. Arrangements entrusted to Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home.
