MCINERNEYEight days before his 95th birthday, James went to be with his wife Dot and his heavenly Father, from his home in Cincinnati, Ohio. Known as "Jim" and also as "Mac", he was born on June 4, 1922 in Cincinnati, grew up in lower Price Hill and served in the United States Navy during World War II before joining the IBEW as an electrician where he remained an active member his entire life. Jim loved music and played the drums and bass as a hobby for many years in local bands. He married his beautiful wife Dorothy in 1945, and raised three daughters before retiring to Panama City Beach, Florida, and then later to Houston, Texas. After the death of his wife in 2011, he returned to Cincinnati where he was surrounded by family and friends, and continued to drive and live independently until his passing. Jim had two favorite pastimes: baseball and politics. He knew the names and stats of every player in every league and looked forward to Opening Day each spring. He dearly loved talking politics, working in his yard and doing projects around his house. He is survived by his three daughters, Donna Hoover (Terry) of Columbus, Ohio, Janet Burkard (Chris) of Houston, Texas, and Nancy Cummings (Ken) of Cincinnati Ohio; and eight grandchildren. He is pre-deceased by his sister Rita Wauligman and his brother William McInerney. A small, private family service will be held. Jim, we will miss your energy, your wit, your sense of humor and your gift of gab. You were an amazing husband, father and human being! Condolences may be expressed at:
