Lee, JamesJames D. "Jim" Lee, age 48, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Aurora Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born on October 24, 1968 in Oshkosh to Lowell and Mable (Sanborn) Lee. Jim graduated from Oshkosh North High School and studied printing at Fox Valley Technical College. He worked as the head press operator for the Oshkosh Northwestern for ten years. He then became the owner of The Distillery Pub in Oshkosh. Jim enjoyed shooting darts and spending time outdoors at the family cottage. He also enjoyed visiting with his family and his favorite dog, Ollie, for whom he always had a special treat. He was known for being a kind, generous man who would give the shirt off his back and help anyone in need. Jim also made sure that his customers who didn't have a place to go for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or Easter were always fed and taken care of. He will always be remembered for his quirky laugh.He is survived by three brothers: Dale (Sandra Blackwell), Richard and Jeffrey (Sue) Lee; nieces and nephews: Brian, Jenny, Stephanie (Ge) Lee, Kristine (Tony) Leichtfuss, Diane (Travis) Voelker, Heather (Adam) Novak, Jason Harrington, Andrea (Phillip) Schultz, and Erica Lee. He is further survived by fourteen great nieces and nephews and one great great niece. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his sister: Sandra Spanbauer. A funeral service will be held for Jim at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (Westside). Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Jim will be buried in Borth Cemetery.In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.
