James J LeonardOctober 13, 1934April 12, 2017James Joseph Leonard passed away peacefully at the age of 82 on April 12, 2017. He was born on October 13, 1934 in Boston, Massachusetts to James A. and Mary Leonard. He was married to Virginia (Ginny) Lee Leonard for over 50 years, and they made their home in Reno, Nevada since 1961.Jim was a professional electrician since 1957. He belonged to the local 401, and the IBEW, and was also the Training Director of the JATC for many years. Jim liked to travel with Ginny, play golf, and host family dinners at the Santa Fe.He is survived by his sisters: Sally Ann Taylor, Marie Theresa Duerden, and Suzanne Inzirillo. His daughters Deborah Petit (Roger), Suzanne Kelley (Steven) OF New Hampshire, and his sons Jamie (Clarise) of Carson City, and Mike (Laurie) of Reno. His grandchildren; Duncan, Darcie, Adam, Double "A" ron, Hilbean, Jessica Creepy, Zacho the great, Sean the Bullet, and Cass the Cap will all miss him greatly.Our family would like to express our extreme gratitude to the Nurses and Doctors on the 6th floor ICU of Renown Regional Medical Center. You took terrific care of Dad, and he was comfortable as could be in his final days.In accordance with Jim's wishes, there will be a service held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 22, 2017; it will be at Mountain View Mausoleum Reverence Chapel, 435 Stoker Ave., Reno.
