Ebert, James F.James F. Ebert, age 79, of Whitelaw, died Saturday evening, October 21, 2017 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center of Manitowoc.Jim was born on October 20, 1938 in Whitelaw, son of the late John and Margaret (Schambureck) Ebert Sr. He graduated with the class of 1956 from Valders High School. Jim was honorably discharged from the United States Army in 1961 and was active in the Army Reserves in Manitowoc as a Sergeant from 1961 until 1966.On September 9, 1961, Jim married Audrey Phillip at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Maple Grove. He worked at Rockwell Lime Co. for 42 years retiring in October 2000. Jim was a friend to all and enjoyed working there along with his two brothers for many years. He was a longtime member of St. Michael Parish in Whitelaw, past member of St. Mary Parish in Clarks Mills, past member of Holy Family Parish in Brillion, past president of St. Michael School Board, Holy Name Society and the Parish Council. He had a beautiful voice and was a member of both choirs at St. Michael and St. Mary Parishes. Jim was also a lifetime member of the Whitelaw Sportsman's Club. In years past he enjoyed bowling, softball, deer hunting, and was always ready to play a good hand of Sheepshead. He had a big heart and was always there to help anyone in need. Jim's generosity touched many people in a quiet way. Dad was a great cook and enjoyed eating meals with the family. Jim loved his family very much and had a special place in his heart for each of the grandkids. He was a good and faithful servant of the Lord his entire life.Survivors include his wife: Audrey Ebert, Whitelaw; his three children and their spouses: Bob (Judy) Ebert, Whitelaw; Bonnie (Paul) Denor, Cato; Brenda (Dennis) Johnsen, Appleton; eight grandchildren: Brian (Amanda) Denor; Amanda Denor and her fiancé, Brandon Kolbeck; Brad (and special friend Sarah Polar), Michael, and Katie Johnsen; Alex Ebert and his fiancée, Anna Zellner; Abby (Andrew) Kopecky; Adam Ebert; one great grandchild: Chase Denor; two sisters and three brothers-in-law: Betty (Art) Dietrich; Barb (Paul) Wallander; Joseph Welch; three brothers and four sisters-in-law: Russell (Evelyn) Ebert; Tom (Betty) Ebert; Dan (Barb) Ebert; Ruth Noack; two sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Colleen (Roger) Meidl; Donald Phillip; Michelle Phillip, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents; John and Margaret Ebert Sr.; his father-in-law and mothers-in-law: George Phillip; Viola Phillip; and Dorothy Phillip; two brothers: John "Jack" Ebert Jr.; Eddie Ebert; one sister: Margaret Welch; one brother-in-law and one sister-in-law: John Phillip; Judy Phillip.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Whitelaw. The Rev. Richard Klingeisen will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with entombment to follow at the Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Kellnersville on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and again on Thursday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. There will be a parish prayer service following the visitation Wednesday evening at the funeral home led by Fr.
